Gold X2 Reports 172 Metres of Combined Gold Intersections at Moss Project

A single Moss hole returned 172 metres at 0.96 g/t gold. The bigger story is how much wider the mineralised shears are than the model predicted.

Key Takeaways

  • 01 Capital discipline is reshaping commodity supply curves into 2026.
  • 02 AI infrastructure capex is becoming a primary macro variable.
  • 03 Central bank policy across AU, CA and US is converging on neutral.

Gold X2 Mining Inc. (NYSE: AUXX, TSXV: AUXX) has released fresh Gold X2 drilling results from the Moss Gold Project in Northwest Ontario, Canada. The Company announced the assays on 14 Oct 2026. Twenty-one infill holes tested the Main and Southwest Zones.

Hole MMD-26-430 returned a combined 172.0m of 0.96 g/t Au from 195.0m. The program aims to convert Inferred resource blocks to Indicated. These Gold exploration results will feed into the next resource update.

Main Zone Infill Holes Deliver Wide Gold Intercepts

Nine Holes Test Core and Marginal Shears

Nine holes were completed by the Company at the Main Zone. Several holes targeted marginal shears away from the established drill grid. The Company used AI software to optimise the drill plan in three dimensions. It says the results show a net positive reconciliation with its resource model.

Hole Intercept Grade (g/t Au) From
MMD-26-425 69.55m 0.42 303.4m
MMD-26-425 58.5m 0.60 391.5m
MMD-26-430 172.0m 0.96 195.0m
MMD-26-430 (including) 18.5m 2.44 209.5m
MMD-26-452 4.85m 4.75 5.8m
MMD-26-454 130.95m 0.55 353.05m

High-Grade Pods Sit Inside Hole MMD-26-430

According to the release, MMD-26-430 also cut 67.0m of 0.97 g/t Au from 255.0m. The uncut grade was 1.18 g/t Au. Within that run, a 2.0m interval returned 15.9 g/t Au from 320.0m. A further 33.0m at 0.96 g/t Au began at 334.0m.

Southwest Zone Holes Show Open-Pit Style Widths

Twelve holes tested the Southwest Zone. The Company says the wide, moderate-grade zones favour open-pit mining. These holes also showed a net positive reconciliation.

Hole Intercept Grade (g/t Au) From
MMD-26-421 60.65m 0.55 471.45m
MMD-26-438 33.25m 0.78 195.75m
MMD-26-441 86.0m 0.42 106.0m
MMD-26-456 74.15m 0.71 98.85m
MMD-26-458 75.0m 0.36 199.0m

Hole MMD-26-456 included 45m of 1.06 g/t Au from 141m. Holes MMD-26-437, MMD-26-442 and MMD-26-458 crossed the Snodgrass Fault. They met annealed fault breccia between 5m and 15m wide.

Wider Shears With Lower Grades Still Add Up to a Net Positive

The Company compared its drill intercepts with the current resource model. The comparison shows the following:

  • Main Zone: mineralised shears were 67% wider than modelled, with 28% lower grades.
  • Southwest Zone: shears were 87% wider than modelled, with 39% lower grades.
  • Model gap: secondary shears between the primary shears were modelled as waste, so the current estimate excludes them.
  • Extra shears: drilling also found marginal shears beyond the primary shear system.

Michael Henrichsen, CEO and Director, said the results strengthen confidence in the deposit. He pointed to possible gains in contained ounces and the strip ratio.

Moss Gold Project Resource Base Frames the Drilling Focus

The Company owns 100% of the Moss Gold Project. The Project has direct access from the Trans-Canada Highway and hydroelectric power near the site.

The 2026 resource estimate lists 2.458 million ounces Indicated at 1.04 g/t Au in 73.8 million tonnes. It also lists 4.209 million ounces Inferred at 0.97 g/t Au in 134.7 million tonnes.

Model Gaps and Funding Needs Temper the Optimism

  • Hole MMD-26-433 failed to locate the core shear along the Snodgrass Fault boundary.
  • Marginal shears are less predictable than core shears, though within 10m of the model.
  • Resource estimation carries uncertainty, and the gold price may fluctuate.
  • The Company may need additional financing, and permits could face delays.

Updated Resource Estimate Targeted for Q1 2027 Sets the Next Milestone

The Company targets an updated resource estimate for Q1 2027. It plans further drilling to model late faults that offset mineralisation.

Impact on the Company’s resource inventory will turn on how many Inferred ounces the new drilling upgrades to the Indicated category. Management expects a significant impact on the estimate, though this remains forward-looking.

Mining Herald will keep tracking how the Moss infill program shapes the Company’s resource base.
